HealthWell Foundation Program

This is a program offering grants or patient assistance for products recognized as “standard of care” in CF that are not covered by insurance programs, such as CF vitamins and oral supplements, hypertonic saline and certain nebulizers. This grant may also cover some co-pays. Qualifications for vitamins and/or supplements differ.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

What is SNAP?

SNAP is a federally funded program that offers food assistance and nutrition education to low-income individuals and families.

Who Qualifies for SNAP?

Individuals or families that earn below a certain amount of money, per month, will be able to qualify for SNAP assistance. Visit the link listed below to see if you or your family qualifies for SNAP benefits. Learn more: https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/eligibility#Income

What happens once you qualify for SNAP?

Individuals and families will receive a certain amount of SNAP benefits per month to use toward the purchase of food. Not all types of foods can be purchased with SNAP benefits. For a list of excluded food items please visit: https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/eligible-food-items

SNAP’s Nutrition Education Programs:

SNAP-Ed is a nutrition education program offered to individuals and families who receive SNAP benefits. These programs include meals planning, shopping, budgeting, and information on basic nutrition.
